FAQs.
Frequently asked questions.
Lead-time - How long does it take for you to complete my order?
This varies depending on the type of project we are producing for you. Some jobs can be produced in minutes and others may take days depending on the complexity or simplicity of the job. Our normal production schedule requirements are currently at five days. Three requirements must be in place before adding to our production schedule – receipt of approved artwork, purchase order/signed quote to proceed, and payment method in place. Let us know when you need your job completed and we'll let you know if it can be done. We go to great lengths to meet your most stringent demands.
What is a "proof"?
A layout proof is a way of ensuring that we have set your type accurately and that everything is positioned properly according to your requirements. Typically, we will produce a layout proof that will be sent to you online or printed on paper (not for approval of color). Your approval must be given before we proceed.
A material proof is a way of ensuring that we have set your type and color accurately, everything is positioned properly, and that it is printing on the actual material according to your requirements. We do not start your project until you have signed off on a layout or material proof.
What are quantity breaks?
Designing artwork and setting up our equipment to manufacture your job takes the same amount of time and work whether we produce one or a hundred items. Our pricing is based on total square feet for a project, per process, which will be produced at one time. When we quote a job we will include basic “print-ready” artwork pre-press time. If additional artwork design time is required, this will be charged out accordingly. We can quote different quantities so that you can see which is the most economical for your needs.
Is PPI Killing Your ROI(Return on Investment)?
The human eye cannot see the difference between 100 dots per inch (dpi/ppi) and 1200 dots per inch at ~ 10 feet. At Sealand Graphics, we know that higher resolutions are not always the best value for your application and will bring down your Return on Investment. This is why we offer the highest quality equipment process, inks and materials to meet your needs based on the end product specifications. The more information you can provide us about the project will allow us to assist you in meeting or exceeding those specifications, and in turn provide you the highest Return on Investment.
